Fabric printing

Types of fabric printing

Printing methods on fabric are divided into digital and rotary. Digital printing also has different methods, which we will explain below:

Gulshan Resalat Factories Group uses the rotary method and digital transfer printing method to print the design on the fabric.

Rotary fabric printing:

In this method, the fabric is placed on a conveyor belt and net-shaped rollers made of mesh are placed on top of it. Color material is injected into this roller and sits on the fabric surface. Now, by opening and closing the openings of the roller net, different designs can be printed on the fabric. For example, to print a striped design, we open and close the openings of the roller at a certain distance, for example, 5 cm. In this way, the colored material injected into the roller sits on the fabric in the form of stripes. After printing on the fabric, both sides of the fabric are fixed by a stenter device and the fabric is heated until the ink printed on it is completely dried and absorbed by the fabric.

Fabric rotary printing can be used to print designs such as a flower whose length is at most equal to the circumference of the roller. In this way, a cycle of the design is designed by opening and closing the roller nets on it, and when the roller makes a full revolution on the fabric, that design is printed, and in the same way that the fabric is under the roller. The next cycles are printed sequentially on the fabric.

Digital fabric printing:

Due to the limitations that exist in fabric printing with the rotary method, in many cases, in order to be able to print any desired design on the fabric and also to increase the quality of the print, from We use digital printing on fabric. One of the advantages of using this method is that there is no limit on the maximum length of the desired design, and any design can be printed on the fabric and by making the necessary adjustments, that design can be printed regularly and on the back of any length. The head is printed on the fabric.

What is digital fabric printing?

Digital fabric printing is a method in which instead of using a roller and injecting color (rotary method), a digital printing machine is used on the fabric. Of course, the digital printing of fabric is done in two ways, transfer and direct, which we will explain below, but in general, this method is done like normal paper printers, but in much larger dimensions and specifically for fabric.

Digital transfer printing (Transfer):

If you remember, in the past, some foreign gums had a sticker with a photo. Maybe you yourself have the experience of doing this as a child; We put this sticker on the skin of the hand and with a little heating and a little pressure (pulling the hand on the back of the image sticker), the sticker was returned to the skin. The transfer printing method is exactly the same.
In this method, special papers are used that give back the ink when exposed to heat. First, by means of large printers, they print the desired design on these papers according to the width of the fabric. The working method of these printers is exactly like normal printers, except that they print on paper in larger dimensions and continuously without interruption. Printed paper is the same as normal printing paper, except that the type of paper and the type of ink used in it are such that when it sees heat, the paper gives back the ink.

One of the advantages of transfer printing is that any kind of desired design can be printed on the fabric with a variety of colors and without limitation of range. After the printing paper is ready, it is placed on the fabric and passes under the pressure rollers at the same time. The pressure and heat applied by these rollers to fabric and paper causes the desired design to be reversed or printed from paper to fabric.

The transfer printing method is usually used to print on fabrics that are not rough and have a smooth surface; Because the quality of their printing is very high. Of course, this method can also be used to print on coarse fabrics, but in general, this is not common.

Direct digital printing:

In this method, as the name suggests, printing is done directly on the fabric by means of a printer. In the transfer printing method, we said that printers print the desired design on paper and then this design is transferred from paper to fabric. In the direct printing method, the fabric is placed in special printers that have a large head and print directly on the fabric with high quality.

Due to the use of high-quality color raw materials and the accuracy of the printing process on the fabric, the fabrics printed by Golshan Resalat Group of Factories do not lose color.
